CSKA said goodbye to UEFA Cup


2 matches of UEFA Cup tournament in group F took place on Wednesday. Dutch "Hereven" greeted "Levski" team from Bulgaria, and Bucharest ?Dinamo" played with French "Marcel".

The fortune of current UEFA Cup owner - Moscow CSKA - relied on results of these games. To continue competition in tournament CSKA needed the loss of "Dinamo" to "Marcel" with score 0:1, 1:2 or with difference more than 2 goals and the victory of "Levski" over "Hereven".

As a result, "Marcel" has defeated "Dinamo" with score 2:1. The goals were scored by Sezar (39-th minute), Delphim (45-th minute) - Nikulesku (52-d minute).

But Dutch "Herevan" defeated "Levski" with same score with goals scored by Samaras (54-th minute), Hansen (90-th) - Ivanov (52-d minute).

Therefore, CSKA took 4-th place in the group and didn`t pass to 1/16 of UEFA Cup. "Marcel", "Levski" and "Hereven" passed to next stage of the tournament.

Final position of teams in group F: "Marcel" - 9 points, "Levski" - 6 points, "Hereven" - 5 points, CSKA - 4 points, "Dinamo" (Bucharest) - 4 points.
