GAZ switches to Indian engine.
The company GAZ assembled new Mahindra Scorpio and prepares to test it.
Within the next few days chief officials of the motor-car factory will take final decision about new Indian project: to keep on collaborating with Indian automobile plant or Russian users might not be interested in the new model.
Indian car factory Mahindra & Mahindra is not the first foreign collaborator of the Gorkovsky motor works. Since 90s the company intended to cooperate with Fiat (Brava and Stilo), with Nissan, Toyota and some other companies.
Collaboration with Fiat didn?t come true due to default of 1998. As for Nissan, company authorities decided to postpone working on Russian market. After hesitations Toyota came to the decision to establish the motor-car factory in Saint-Petersburg.
