Since January 1, 2000, this day is the official World Peace Day.

"One Day In Peace, January 1, 2000" is a simple message, but it could be the perfect way to get society to focus on peace. Spreading this message will help people to see that peace is more than the absence of war - it is finding peace inside ourselves, and trying to live in peace with each other and the earth, ONE DAY at a time. When the world lives in peace for that one day, we`ll see that we can make the dream of peace on earth come true, one day at a time.
